This year's KASA Legislative Drive-In Day was scheduled for February 25, which will be during National Public School's Week. The General Assembly will be very busy on this date with committee meetings and other groups competing for legislators' attention - so schedule meetings with your legislators for February 25 as early as possible.
The primary goal of Legislative Drive-In Day is for legislators to hear directly from their local school leaders on important education issues. On February 25 the House and the Senate will likely hold caucus meetings at 1:00 p.m. EST and convene in the Capitol at 2:00 p.m. EST - so expect any meeting with legislators to be scheduled between the time you arrive in Frankfort and 1:00 p.m. EST.
