Public Schools Week (Feb. 26 - March 1) and Drive-In Day (February 27) are two key KASA activities designed to celebrate and showcase the strength - and potential - of our state's public schools and our students' futures. Public Schools Week is part of a larger campaign - #HerefortheKids that also brings together families, educators, and community members to shine the spotlight on local public schools through the lens of the amazing teaching and learning taking place in classrooms and school buildings nationwide.

We invite you to get involved in celebrating your local public schools, the educators and school professionals committed to serving our kids every single day!

This year's KASA Legislative Drive-In Day is scheduled for February 27, which will be during National Education Week. The primary goal of Legislative Drive-In Day is for legislators to hear directly from their local school leaders on important education issues. On February 27 the House and the Senate will likely hold caucus meetings at 1:00 p.m. EST and convene in the Capitol at 2:00 p.m. EST - so expect any meeting with legislators to be scheduled between the time you arrive in Frankfort and 1:00 p.m. EST.
