The Danville Independent Schools Board of Education is seeking a highly skilled leader to become the district’s next superintendent. He/she must be student centered, have expertise with effective teaching, learning, and assessment practices, and must demonstrate an understanding of all facets of the superintendent's role, including school finance, personnel law, healthy and safe school environments, and the ability to effectively delegate authority. In addition, this individual must demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to bring people together to serve Danville’s children and families.
Danville Independent Schools hosts four schools, Mary G. Hogsett Primary, Edna L. Toliver Intermediate, John W. Bate Middle, and Danville High, each reflecting a rich history and tradition of excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts.

Danville is located in the heart of Kentucky’s famed Bluegrass region, known for its beautiful rolling hills and horse farms.
