The Caverna Independent Schools Board of Education is seeking a highly skilled leader to become the district’s next superintendent. Caverna Independent Schools host three schools, Caverna Elementary, Caverna Middle, and Caverna High. Each school reflects a rich history and tradition of excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts.
The Caverna Independent School District is unique in the fact that students in both Barren and Hart Counties reside within the attendance boundaries. The district primarily serves students in the towns of Cave City and Horse Cave. Caverna is located in the heart of Kentucky’s famed Mammoth Cave region. The area has a rich history of farming and tourism. Cave City and Horse Cave are charming and vibrant towns that feature local artisans and a thriving antique market.
In addition, candidates will find that living in the area provides:
• Thriving businesses, industries, and a strong entrepreneurial support network
• Excellent access to health care
• Quality education systems including close proximity to Western Kentucky University, Campbellsville
University, and Lindsey Wilson College
• A central location adjacent to Interstate 65 and the near half way point between Louisville and Nashville.
• Unique shopping, festivals, events, and outdoor recreation.
All this plus affordable housing and easy access to all south central Kentucky towns and cities, including Bowling Green, makes the Caverna School District a great place to continue your leadership journey.
