Summary of Education Funding in HB 6, Conference Committee Report
In this spreadsheet  you will find the Conference Committee Report on HB 6, State Budget, which was passed by the Senate Wednesday evening and is expected to be passed by the House today, Thursday, March 28. HB 6 will then go to the Governor who may issue line-item vetoes of specific appropriations or veto the budget in its entirety. Any vetoes issued by the Governor are expected to be over-ridden on April 12 or 15.

Status of HB 6 - Biennial Budget 
We understand the budget conference committee worked through the weekend and may continue to deliberate into next week. Thursday is the deadline for a budget conference committee report to win final passage before the veto recess – ensuring the Governor will not have the opportunity to make line-item vetos to the budget that the General Assembly would not be able to override. We expect the budget conference committee report will be released no later than Wednesday, March 27.
