Dr. Georgeanne Warnock, The Subbing Superintendent
We Understand the Assignment (Lesson Learned from Subbing & Leading)
Dr. Georgeanne Warnock started her first superintendency in January of 2020...and she had no idea what she was getting into as she moved to a new community at the start of the pandemic. When the pandemic-fueled teacher shortage inspired this brand new superintendent to start subbing regularly in classrooms across the district, she learned a lot of lessons about her community, the current state of education, and leading in tough times! Dr. Warnock started video-blogging her journey of substituting and the lessons she learned in her journey and gained 50,000 followers across platforms along the way. Today, Dr. Warnock speaks to audiences all over Texas and across the nation; she will share lessons learned with laughter and tears, leaving you feeling inspired and connected to this incredibly purposeful work that we get to do each day.
