Lessons Learned from the Eastern Kentucky Flood
When it comes to unavoidable disasters, preparation is a school leader's number one defense. What happens when it comes during the summer months in the middle of the night? What is the defense against raging flood waters and how do you lead the school community through recovery? In this session, you will learn from Knott and Letcher counties who met this disaster head on and continue to lead their communities today. What are the lessons learned? How might leaders prepare for future events? And how might we connect organizations state and nationwide to assist with ongoing needs such as caring for staff and students through simple measures such as a coat for the winter. Don't miss this session and the opportunity to pose your questions direct to them.
