KELA Aspiring Principals Program
The KELA Aspiring Principals Program is a research-based leadership development initiative
grounded in the Professional Standards for Educational Leaders (PSEL) and
The Leadership Challenge®. Participants gain:
- Leadership standards knowledge
- Experience with principalship functions
- Preparation for faculty, student, and community engagement

Program Length: 9 months (Sept – July 2025)
Session Format: 6 full-day in-person sessions
Location: KASA Training Center and statewide districts
Cost: $2,999

- KASA Membership (join at registration)
- $250 deposit starts application

Successful Completers Will:
- Receive real-world prep from Kentucky leaders
- Be awarded a KASA Certificate of Leadership Readiness
- Be recognized at the 2026 KASA Annual Leadership Institute
- Have achievements shared with districts and local media
