DEIB Leadership Summit Details

As you prepare to head to Louisville, here is sone helpful information:

Parking and Hotel Check-In:
Overnight parking is available at the discounted rate of $20 in the East Tower only (facing the river, garage to your right). If driving in for the day, the hourly rate will apply.

Hotel check-in begins at 3:00 p.m. EST and is available in the East Tower on the first-floor lobby.

Dress for the summit is casual. Attendees are encouraged to wear school logo attire. Also, remember meeting room temperatures are sometimes cool. 

7:07 Networking Reception:
You are invited to join us for a networking reception in the Willow Room, Galt House West Tower, 3rd Floor, on Thursday evening, November 17. In addition to great music and food (drinks and appetizers), you will:
Build relationships
Network with colleagues
Develop a sense of belonging
The reception will kick off at 7:07 p.m. EST and conclude by 9:00 p.m.

Summit Check-in:
For those attending the networking reception, you may pick up your name badge at the reception on Thursday evening. If not attending the reception, registration will be set up outside the Archibald Cochran Ballroom, 3rd Floor, West Tower, beginning at 7:30 a.m. EST, Friday. 

Session Flow for the Day:
The opening session will be led by Crystal Kuykendall, a gifted and gracious business executive, diversity trainer, strategic planner, child advocate, public speaker, administrator, educator, attorney and human relations and social justice consultant. During her session, Crystal will share insight, information, and strategies to enhance the efforts of school officials to overcome implicit and institutional bias while building exemplary, diverse teams that are committed to the achievement and high performance of all students. This session will be held in the Archibald Cochran Ballroom, 3rd Floor, West Tower.

A myriad of concurrent education sessions will be offered throughout the day. For a complete review of sessions click here.  Through these sessions you can expect an engaging day of networking, engagements, and hands on learning. Concurrent education sessions will be held on the 2nd Floor of the East Tower.

A networking lunch will be provided.

The summit will conclude at 3:00 p.m. EST.

Cancellation Policy
Should you find you need to cancel your registration for an unforeseen reason, cancellations will be accepted through November 3, 2022, but must be submitted in writing via email (, or by fax (502) 875-4631, or mail to 87 C. Michael Davenport Blvd., Frankfort, KY 40601.

An administrative fee of $39 will apply to offset the cost of materials prepared and purchased on your behalf.

A refund cannot be issued for cancellations after November 3 or for no shows at the event November 18 due to commitments KASA must make to the hotel and other suppliers on your behalf.

Any refunds will be issued after December 1, 2022.

*Written cancellation or substitution is required to protect both KASA members and staff from the uncertainty and misunderstandings that may occur because of cancellations made by phone during a hectic work period.
