The Benny Dunning Pay It Forward Scholarship awards $2,500 to two Kentucky public high school seniors—one from Jefferson County and another from anywhere in the bluegrass region. Designed to help students in need, the scholarship supports tuition expenses at any Kentucky college, university, technical school, or other institution of higher learning.

Benny Dunning has made a lasting impression on KASA since 2011, when he was first assigned to assist Executive Director Dr. Rhonda Caldwell during the Annual Leadership Institute. Known for his outstanding service, Benny received the Fred Award in 2017 and continues to embody KASA’s values of kindness, commitment, and excellence. The Pay It Forward Scholarship reflects his belief in creating opportunities for others just as others once did for him.
