Bobby Bennett, Emeritus

Bobby Bennett, recently retired after serving his 11th year as high school principal in the Middlesboro Independent school district, assumes the role of immediate past president. Having begun his career in education 31 years ago as a secondary mathematics teacher, he has served as a K-6 principal, preschool coordinator, high school and alternative school principal. A member of KASA since 2008, Bennett has served on the awards, governance and annual leadership institute planning committees as well as The Leadership Challenge® steering committee. He also served two terms as president of the KY Association of Secondary School Principals and the Center for Education Leadership at KASA. He earned his B.S. and two M.A. degrees from Lincoln Memorial University. He also holds Kentucky superintendent certification from the University of the Cumberlands. Currently, Bennett is completing a Doctor of Education Leadership degree at Liberty University.
