Nominations sought to fill vacancies on KASA Board of Directors

KASA is seeking to fill vacancies on the KASA Board of Directors representing the following regions/role groups along with the outgoing representative:

River Region 
Dr. Todd Marshall, high school principal in Dawson Springs Ind.

Barren River Region 
Mr. Kyle Cassady, assistant superintendent in Warren Co.

Heartland Region 
Mr. Marc Adams, assistant superintendent in Meade Co.

Red River Region
Ms. BJ Martin, assistant high school principal in Fayette Co.

Elementary School Principals Role Group
Ms. Melissa Turner, elementary school principal in Floyd Co.

Assistant Principals Role Group
Ms. Jill Angelucci, assistant principal in Fayette Co.

 

KASA members in these regions/role groups are invited to participate in the nomination process to elect your representative. The successful candidate will serve a three-year term which begins immediately. Nominations are being accepted through August 16, 2024, with an online election conducted shortly thereafter.

In accordance with the bylaws, nominees must meet the following criteria to serve on the board of directors:

Regional Directors

  1. Be a professional or premier member of KASA
  2. Be from a different school district and hold a different position than the previous director
  3. Be available to serve a three-year term (2024-2027)
  4. Attend board meetings in the spring and fall each year and the fall retreat (fall board retreat - September 13, 2024; fall board meeting - November 15, 2024; and spring board meeting - June 6, 2024)
  5. Coordinate the region’s annual meeting

Role Group Directors
  1. Be a professional or premier member of KASA
  2. Be from a different school district and hold a different position than the previous director
  3. Be available to serve a three-year term (2024-2027)
  4. Attend board meetings in the spring and fall each year and the fall retreat (fall board retreat - September 13, 2024; fall board meeting - November 15, 2024; and spring board meeting - June 6, 2024)
