Cancellation & Substitution Policy

Written cancellations submitted via email, fax or USPS mail will be accepted up to 14 business days prior to the event and a refund or invoice credit issued minus a $29 processing fee. After that time, you may send a substitute to attend in your place as refunds are not available for cancellations or no shows within this time period.  Session materials will be shared with those who must cancel and who do not receive a refund.

Planning and Preparing for Your First 100 Days

Session Description:

Are you a new principal or superintendent or do you aspire to be a principal or superintendent in the very near future?  Then, this workshop is for you. This session is built around the book The First 100 Days and is designed to help each participant build their 100 day entry plan. Whether you’re starting as a new principal or superintendent on July 1 or interviewing for a position in the near future, this session will help you hit the ground running.

Newly appointed principals and superintendents and those seeking to become a principal or superintendent


Nannette Johnston is the Director of Superintendent Effectiveness for KASA and a part-time Studer Education Coach for the Evidence-Based Leadership K12 approach. Prior to this, Nannette served as superintendent of Hardin County Schools. During her tenure, HCS increased the number of students recognized as college and career ready from 38% to 78% within two years and 100% of the high schools in the district moved to 96%. Under her leadership, the district developed and implemented the Work Ethic Certification Program which serves as a state model. Nannette achieved many honors including being named Superintendent of the Year by the Kentucky Association of School Administrators. Prior to her superintendent role, she served as the director of early childhood programs for HCS.
