The Kentucky Association of Secondary School Principals is an association formed by and for high school and middle school administrators. Established in 1957, its purpose is to build an active network of educators working to improve the quality of school leadership and ultimately, to improve student achievement.

KASSP is committed to developing and training its members to be highly-capable leaders and annually recognizes high-performing principals who model best practices and outstanding secondary school leadership through the KY Principal of the Year program.

The mission of this association is to promote the interest of secondary and middle school education in Kentucky by providing professional development activities and collegial support to address issues in connection with the administration of secondary and middle schools.
