The Challenge Continues

"The next chapter of The Leadership Challenge® Journey"


The Challenge Continues (TCC) is designed for leaders who have completed The Leadership Challenge® two-day workshop and at least one instance of the Leadership Practices Inventory 360® online.


This series is designed to move The Leadership Challenge® leaders beyond the foundational tools and skills acquired previously. Additionally, some activities ask school leaders to move beyond the self-development focus of previous programs and identify ways of expanding their use of the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership® to develop team members and to influence the broader work of their schools and districts.

All 2021 TCC 3-hour events will be held virtually on each of six dates, no travel required.

Like all school leaders, KASA The Leadership Challenge® alumni are always looking for ways to implement newly learned skills and behaviors, and then maintaining the enthusiasm of the early days following The Leadership Challenge® workshops.

Throughout the series, expect to dive deeper into each of the practices, expand your knowledge base, learn to apply the LPI® to your own leadership practice, gain insight to the research behind the work, and most importantly how to implement The Leadership Challenge® at your school or district in meaningful and sustainable ways.

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing to Lisa Ducker 21 days prior to the workshop. The registration fee, minus a $39 administrative processing fee, will be refunded for cancellations received by that date. After this date, refunds cannot be issued; however, substitutions are welcome at no additional cost.

Meet the Presenter


Rhonda Caldwell, CAE, Ed.D., is the executive director for KASA and The Center for Education Leadership. She is one of Kentucky’s foremost education leaders, with over 25 years of service to public education. She has served in various leadership capacities with organizations such as AASA, ASAE, Asia Society and Partnership for Global Learning to name a few. Caldwell co-authored her first book, A Guide to Kentucky’s NxG Leadership Series for Onboarding New Superintendents, as part of her doctoral thesis. She works closely with Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner, authors of The Leadership Challenge and Wiley, the publisher of all scholar materials. She currently is a Certified Master in Training.



Tammy Newcome is the director of membership for KASA.  She has over thirty years of service to public education as a teacher, principal, assistant superintendent, AdvanceKy’s Laying the Foundations    middle school mathematics training and KASA non-profit leader.  As a certified The Leadership Challenge facilitator, she brings extensive expertise and passion for growing and coaching others to achieve  extraordinary results.  She has been recognized as an inductee of Kentucky Women in Education Leadership, Marion County Chamber of Commerce Educator of the Year, Gates Foundation MET Project-Teacher Effectiveness Project selected participant and Campbellsville University Excellence in Teaching Award recipient.
