KASA and Scholastic have once again partnered to bring this complimentary workshop to you. Designed for only those who received the Striving Readers Grant, this workshop will provide you with assistance as you finalize your multi-year work plan and budget. Best practices for curricular materials, professional learning for literacy, and family engagement strategies will be shared during this dynamic one-day workshop.

Building Your Literacy Plan and Budget
Michael Haggen will review best practices for selecting curricular resources and literacy-related professional learning opportunities that will support readers advancing from striving to thriving.

Family Engagement Action Planning
Ron Mirr will share information on designing a comprehensive pan and budget to build the capacity of families to support striving readers. Details on how to assess, plan,m and support the implementation of family engagement action plans that ensure educators can effectively partner with all families to improve student learning will be included.

Working Lunch
Ron and Scholastic staff members will be available to work with individual districts as they build multi-year work plans and budget for their Striving Readers Grant.
