The Russellville Board of Education is seeking an individual with a strong academic focus who will take a strategic and innovative approach to address the challenges of the district while ensuring that the district remains fiscally sound. This person will need to be committed to the vision, goals, and values of the school district. They will be comfortable taking necessary risk to solve problems in a timely fashion. The successful candidate will need to be an effective communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills who will be engaged in both the district and community.
The Russellville Independent School District has a rich history of providing a quality well rounded education to students. Stevenson Elementary School provides programs which include nationally accredited early childhood education programs, and all-day kindergarten. Russellville Middle and High School offer an innovated Gifted and Talented Program, an Ambassador Leadership Program, Academic Teams, Advanced Placement and Honor classes, and the Panther Academy.
Russellville, a town of approximately 7800 residents, is the county seat of Logan County. Russellville is located 25 miles west of Bowling Green and 55 miles north of Nashville. The backgrounds of its citizens range from agricultural to industrial. Both the town of Russellville and its school system are the beneficiaries of this cultural diversity. The town’s citizens take pride in their preschool, elementary school, middle school, and high school, all of which are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
