Master Planning for Innovation

A Process Improvement Performance Excellence Event

Download Agenda

In continuation of its Process Improvement Performance Excellence (PIPE) work, KASA is hosting a “free” event. In partnership with APQC and made possible by a Gates grant, this two-day workshop provides a collaborative forum to help districts learn about a newly integrated methodology called Master Planning for Innovation (MPI).

MPI and PIPE combined are critical to leaders’ success in managing change, transformation and improvement. The methodologies enable organizations to:
  • Align around important change initiatives
  • Establish clear roles and responsibilities
  • Establish clear ownership of deliverables
  • Appropriately resource and plan for change
  • Organize information management and flow

Objective

Regional collaboration groups will discuss the focus topic of Finance and understand how Master Planning for Innovation (MPI) can be applied to that subject area. Participants will gain information on the defined topic and in addition, an awareness of MPI and its application through case studies of prior work. Participants will collaborate within their own organization. (Participants will begin activities but not complete them. Example: charter completion will occur after the workshop in the ensuing weeks.)
